All
You’ll Ever Be
All
you’ll ever be
Is
a fading memory.
Lost
in the dark
Misery
in your heart.
Scared
and alone
With
nowhere to call home.
Friends
and family gone
Everyone
has said they are done.
Done
with your lies
Tired
of hearing your cries.
You
get no reprieve
Everyone
sees you as a disease.
All
the lives you’ve destroyed
All
the people you’ve annoyed.
Your
selfishness coming back to you
And
your real colors are showing through.
Your
enemies staring down
All
of us ready to watch the shattering of your crown.
You
will fall off your stolen throne
And
none of us can wait until you are gone.
We
wait for freedom
From
all the things you’ve done.
All
you’ll ever be
Is
a fading memory.

ReplyDeleteSecond, since I know what drives your poetry at the moment I find your stuff very well expressed. I have actually written a poem close to this many years ago. It's funny how we see people that seem to be destructive as "kings", or "queens", but that's what they feel like when they seem to run the show, but every show also has a curtain call and the lights will get turned off at the end of the night. :)
